And the Mom of the Year Award Goes To....

One of the things the pediatricians tell you even before you have your baby is the importance of tummy time.

Start it right away....

Do it everyday.....

It's the most important thing for her development right now....

Well....Hazel Joy is only 2 months old, and we've already failed her. We were more consistent with it at first. Making a small effort to do it each night. And then.....we fell off the Tummy Time Wagon. She was lifting her head and turning it from side to side. She didn't like it, but she was doing it.

Hazel Joy's first tummy time.

About one week old.

Then time passed. We weren't diligent. Her head grew. We've created a weakling.

This is Hazel Joy at the beginning of tummy time tonight.....

This is Hazel Joy 20 minutes later. This photo is taken from the exact same angle as the first.

She did a lot of movin' and shufflin'. But she didn't turn her head. Ever. Not even once.

We'll get better at instituting tummy time. She'll get better at lifting her head.
