Firsts

This has truly been the most exciting, scary, worrisome (if you can believe that last one) time of my life. The good news is, it's only just begun! We have encountered so many firsts in the last few months on our journey to parenthood. I thought I'd share a few:

We announced "We're pregnant!" And we weren't joking that time.

I ate a whole loaf of banana bread by myself in a three day period.

We heard a fetal heart beat and fell in love. Instantly.

I burst into tears at the sound of this song.

I spoke with a MAN explicitly about my female hardware. And he drew a picture, complete with a stick figure fetus of what's happening in there so that I may better understand.... Whatev.

Today I made an appointment for a six month check-up at the dentist and wondered if I'd have babysitting lined up for the hour I'd be away.

I looked at an ultrasound picture and thought it was cute.

And the list will go on and on.....

What an adventure so far.
